Tests shall be conducted as per the following Perlite Institute/ ASTM Standards.
 
Grading
Sieve analysis PI - 113 or ASTM
Apparent density PI – 116
Compact density PI - 01
PH of Perlite PI – 202
Test for water repellency PI – 303
Organic content ASTM C 40 92
 
Combustibility test
Compressive strength of lightweight concrete ASTM C 49
Slump test ASTM C – 143 – 78
Moisture content PI-118-77
Thermal conductivity IS 3346
 
..::::: TEST REPORT
Test Reports shall be made of all tests performed in accordance with the above specifications as required by the customer. For facility not available at KEL laboratory, tests will be conducted at outside agency laboratories
 
The test reports shall contain the following information.
Date of test.
Material lot designation.
Test results.
Approval by Authorised Site Representative.
